When we first got those territories, they were almost 100% Mexican and yet we managed to integrate them and Americanize them. Further, as I point out above, the children of Mexican immigrants are identifying themselves as white, not Hispanic at almost 2-1. That means they aspire to become Americans, not Mexican invaders.<br /><br />I think it is more likely in our lifetimes that we would add parts of Canada or Mexico to our country than that we would lose any part of the US to them.
