I have it on good authority that Dennis Kucinich (D-Pluto) is made from clown concentrate and processed chicken parts. So it won’t surprise you that he’s now wondering aloud whether Obama should be impeached for his war mongering in Libya. Yeah, that Obama. . . the one who spent the weekend in Brazil cancelling press conferences so he could samba. Does he have a point?
For some background, the French and British decided something needed to be done about Libya, where Michael Jackson’s evil clone (see below) has been killing his own people. They went to the United Nations and somehow got the UN to agree to institute a no fly zone over Libya. Russia, by the way, agreed to the resolution and then promptly turned around and condemned it. Weirdos.
With UN approval in his pocket and the French leading the way. . . Field Marshal Obama fled to Brazil as our navy started launching cruise missiles at Libyan air defense installations to protect coalition forces.
Enter clown boy and his posse of “hard-core liberal House Democrats” (as Politico describes them). This group of hard-core fans includes nine House members including noted intellectual luminaries like Maxine Waters and Sheila Jackson Lee, and our friend Dennis.
As a group, they question whether Obama has the constitutional right to launch missiles against Libya (after all, the word "Libya" doesn't appear in the Constitution anywhere). They’re also upset that Congress hadn’t been formally consulted before the attack, and they’re upset that this would lead the US into a third war in the Muslim world. Said one Democrat on the conference call: “They consulted the Arab League. They consulted the United Nations. They did not consult the United States Congress.”
Kucinich goes one further and says this raises the question of impeachment. Kucinich, by the way, is an impeachment hobbyist, having tried to bring impeachment articles against both George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.
So let’s look at a few points.
First, they are wrong about the “requirement” to advise Congress before blasting some foreign country. Only Congress can declare war, but under the 1973 War Powers Act, the President can commit US troops for up to 60 days without Congressional approval. So their point is garbage. . . and uppity Belgium better watch its back!
Secondly, this pretty much kills any claims the Democratic left flank has to legitimacy on war issues. They claimed they opposed Bush because he acted without genuine UN approval. Obama got that. Yet, they still complain. They claim they opposed Bush because he only wanted Iraq’s oil and Afghanistan’s. . . dirt. They said we should only fight when US interests aren’t at stake, like when an evil dictator is killing his own people and it has nothing to do with us (yes, they said that). Well, that’s exactly what Gaddafi is doing in Libya, and yet they still oppose the use of force. In fact, at the same time these Democrats were holding their conference call of stupidity, anti-war protestors were protesting at the White House gates.
What does this tell us? It tells us the left is lying when they come up with specific reasons for opposing particular military actions. The truth is they simply object to military action of any kind. Hence, we should start treating their objections as irrelevant.
Third, this tells us the left is unhinged and probably will field a candidate against Obama in the primary. Vermont Socialist Bernie Sanders says a primary challenge would be a good thing (sounds like Martha Stewart... "it's a good thing"), though he won’t do it himself. Our boy Dennis Kucinich says a primary challenge would make Obama a “stronger nominee,” and seems intent on jumping in where Bernie fears to tread.
But wait, what about Hillary, you ask? Well, for one thing, Hillary no longer has progressive street cred, so she might as well be Son of Bush. For another, Hillary essentially took herself out of the race this week, saying that she will not run for President, will not take another government job and will not serve in Obama’s second term. I suspect this is actually her attempt to bail out before the rats start abandoning the A.S.S. Obama once the writing on the wall gets clearer in 2012 -- which makes it a brilliant move. But whatever her reasons, she out.
So Kucinich is in. And since Kenya Boy proved that you don't need to be a US citizen anymore to become President, I think we need to expand the field of possible contenders for his VP spot. Thus, I give you....

Silly, silly libs. I, sir, would welcome a Kucinich Khadaaffi ticket. I think we could actually win against that one.
POTUS looked very indecisive on this one. Of course, ultimately, he may have decided Libya would be an easy win, and make him look strong. I think not. I favor a policy in which POTUS bows out in 2012, and the Dems run using the experienced calming hand on the rudder of our VP Uncle Joe.
Andrew: Allow me to point out that Kucinich goes Obama one step farther. Dennis the Menace isn't even a citizen of earth.
Jed, I'm all for an Uncle Joe ticket in 2012! Of course, Kicinich/Kadaffi would be easy to beat too, unless the Republican instinct for "me-too-ism" kicked in and we ran something like "Barbour/Bin Laden".
Lawhawk, Now you know that's not true, Dennis has a "Certificate of Live Hatching" showing Kenyatucky, USA as the place of emergence. ;-)
How about a Biden/Kucinich ticket?
Did you hear that Ralph Nader got on the impeach Obama bandwagon? He said that Obama is a worse war criminal than Bush. These libs certainly do lack credibility.
Teresa, Wow! Thanks for passing that on. So now we've got Dennis K and Ralph Nader! I can't wait to see who is next. LOL!
In all seriousness, I think the left has lost its mind. This is precisely the kind of military action they've been claiming they support. So what could they possibly be upset about now? Moreover, to instantly turn a disagreement over policy into a call for impeachment really is either hyperbole at its worst or just plain mental illness. I think they became unhinged with their Bush Derrangement Syndrome and they no longer see our government as legitimate, no matter who is sitting in the big chair (or spending the weekend in Rio).
On your proposed ticket, I like it, but I think we should add a third, just to be different! :-) How about:
Biden/Kuchinich/Nader. . . and they won't specify which one will actually be president until you cast your vote!
Libya isn't mentioned anywhere in the Constitution! Lol! Are you sure it's not in the penumbras?
If you're building a ticket, don't forget that China will want a piece of this because they hold all that debt.
Mao's Ghost / Kucinich 2012 and beyond.
Ed, Yep and 2011 isn't mentioned anywhere either, so clearly our government is doing something it shouldn't! ;-)
Oh yeah, who could forget the Chinese... sorry, make that the North Koreans (see, Red Dawn)... we wouldn't want to offend the Chinese.
"Hence, we should start treating their objections as irrelevant."
Thanks for your formal permission, kind sir, but I've been treating the left as irrelevant for quite awhile now. ;)
Crispy, Now you can do it without getting ticketed by the PC cops. :-)
Wait, wait, wait. Kucinich, Waters, et al. are talking about impeaching Obama for not respecting U.S. sovereignty and the Constitution? "Hard-core liberal Democrats" are saying this? Excuse me for one moment.
(shuts door)
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
(opens door)
Hmmm. That's interesting.
T_Rav, LOL! Yep, that just about sums it up. The group that is most likely to try to burn the Constitution is upset that their leader isn't following that same Constitution. In fact, he's worse that BusHitler. ;-)
Stunning isn't it?
Andrew, what's amazing about this story is it comes at the same time as Nader calling Obama a war criminal, Farrakhan telling his "brother," "Who the h*** do you think you are?" and the NYT denouncing him for being led into war by a bunch of (!) women. If it wasn't for us having basically stumbled into a whole new war over there, I would be thoroughly relishing the Left's meltdown. (I'm kinda enjoying it anyway, but it's a bit muted.)
T_Rav, I hadn't put all of that together yet. Nice job! This is totally a meltdown. :-)
I love how they feel free to use racism, sexism, and lunacy whenever the venture into criticisms. Who would have ever thought they would play those cards against a black Democrat President? Obama truly is historic, isn't he?
As an aside related to the meltdown, did you see that the left and various unions are now on strike against Huffington Post? Something about not paying their "unpaid contributors." Apparently, this was ok until someone realized that Huffington was actually rich. . . now what was once good has become evil.
It's like we've entered some sort of bizzaro world!
We have.
Frenchmen leading.
Hillary bailing.
Kucinich wailing.
Obama dancing.
Khadaffi prancing.
Michelle partying.
Missiles cruising.
Nine preaching.
Russia flaking.
Nader nadering.
Kerry kerrying.
And Democrats not knowing the law.
Small note. Daffy duck had his DNA resequenced. He is not a clone. He did buy Michael's death clothes though.
Joel, I'm glad to hear that Daffy isn't a clone, even though he looks it. I'd hate to think somewhere there's a "boys from Brazil" club waiting to create more Michael Jacksons to take over minor countries the world over!
Nice list, by the way. I wonder if Billy Joel will record this one? ;-)
In terms of the left flaking out, they really have done it this time. I can't wait to see which group blows up next? Maybe PETA because of the danger to camels in Libya or for Obama's failure to call for a UN investigation into the assassination of Knut in Germany.
Obama must be wondering if he stepped into an alternate reality a couple weeks ago!
T_Rav, LOL! Very vivid!
Andrew, Out of curiosity, do you think we should be bombing Libya?
Andrew, I did not know that. Well, that's just the cherry on top, isn't it?
T_Rav, It really is, and I fully intend to enjoy the show!
Ed, That's a good question because I don't have any intelligence on who the "pro-democracy" side really are. Are they al Qaeda or are they middle class Libyans who want freedom.
We know Kaddafi is bad, so unless the rebels are clearly al Qaeda, then I would have preferred sending them arms early on so they would have been a match for Kaddafi. If for some reason that wasn't enough, however, I don't really have any issue with the no fly zone because Libya is no match for our air power. My biggest question now is what is the exit strategy? If this turns into a 50 year civil war, will we been supporting one side through all of that or will we be leaving in a few weeks? I'd want to know what our goal is and how we plan to acheive that and get out before I dove in.
I've been cruising some of the leftist blogs and they are going insane about this. They're lumping Hillary and Obama together and they're even accusing them of doing this to get Libya's oil. It's amazing to see them turn on their own people, especially since they're using the same stupidities they always use against conservatives.
DUQ, I know. Michael Moore just demanded that Obama return his Nobel Prize. LOL!
This is going to get ugly as more and more of them start jumping on board.
Let's hope the Republicans stay out of the line of fire and let the left implode. Please, for once, do not let the Stupid Party live up to it's name and try to save Obama from his nasty friends.
It would be funny if it wasn't so damned sad.
LL, Isn't that the truth. In all seriousness, it is very disturbing that Obama is so pathetic and that the left is proving to be so insane.
I'm hoping there is a silver lining to all of this. I'm hoping that this results in a leftist civil war, breaking the left into two halves. That would go a long way toward marginalizing them and waking up the people who currently view left and right as equal.
"I have it on good authority that Dennis Kucinich (D-Pluto) is made from clown concentrate and processed chicken parts."
Now I finally understand him!! Best thing I've read in a week.
Thanks Anon! :-)
This is brilliant. :-)
Thanks Writer X! I enjoyed writing it! :-)
