Commentarama Lives!!!

Sorry about that folks! Google is having problems at the moment and they put Blogger into a "Read Only" mode, so we couldn't comment, make new posts, or even edit our current ones. They also took away yesterday's posts, but are promising to bring those back. This is a Blogger-wide problem, not just us.

We're going to wait until Sunday to put up new articles to give Google a chance to fix this. We're also going to re-open the Twitter account so we can make announcements like this in the future. Sorry for the inconvenience!

good luck with google's act together getting...

You're welcome rlaWTX! I wish we could have put up an general announcement, but we couldn't even get into the blog beyond the front page.

Google usually does fix these things, it just takes them a while.

Thanks Andrew. I was starting to wonder. I had just posted a comment yesterday when everything went haywire.

You're welcome TJ. Sorry we couldn't put up a notice.

I was trying to respond to Jed's comments when the whole thing blew up on me.

Hopefully, the articles will be back soon for anyone who wants to comment.

This is a labor of love. Not only have our Thursday articles disappeared entirely (for the time being, says Blogger), but what we've written for the future is also gone. I'm chewing my fingernails hoping the future articles will reappear on our saved site, or I'm going to be even more peckish than usual for the next few days. LOL

So, is there a chance you can get google (is evil) to restore video capability to You tube as well.

sign into any stoogle app and you get cut off at the Tube. Knew there was a reason to keep my old comp [which does not permit me read any comments] ok, ok, don't even ask. :D

Lawhawk, That's what you get for working ahead! Ug.

Darski, Youtube is down too huh? Wonderful.

So to speed this along and ensure future efficiency, I guess we should avoid referring to the Blogger admins as "morons"?

Also, what's eXistenZ?

i got bonked too, BUT i was able to post today's guest entry (and it's accepting comments) from a badass marine on whether bin laden's death was murder or justice. please don't miss it.

y'all get over there and read this entry. i swear there's no naughty words or poop jokes.

you won't be sorry.

Yes, T-Rav, No more cracks about our wise and flawless overlords!

(We've got about half our posts back so far, but are still waiting for the rest.)

It's a science fiction film starting Jude Law and Jennifer Jason Leigh. I enjoy it, but it's a mess.

Patti, I'll drop by. We're still picking up pieces are here.

BevfromNYC said...

Thank god! I thought they'd found us and shut us down...;-X Phew.

AndrewPrice said...

They tried Bev! They even took down all of Blogger to get us. . . but we survived. We're like digital cockroaches. . . we'll be here no matter what they throw at us! :-)

BevfromNYC said...

So those black helicopters that have been following me around are nothing to worry about then? Good to know. I'll just ignore them then...

AndrewPrice said...

Bev, I didn't say that... fear the black helicopters!

By the way, do you know what's really causing global warming? It's all those black helicopters up there. Black absorbs heat. They should have painted them white. Now we're all going to drown because of them! :-(

BevfromNYC said...

And here I thought global warming was caused by all the hot air in Washington DC.

AndrewPrice said...

That contributes. But it's primarily the heat collected by the black paint on the millions of helicopters floating over people's homes.

Andrew and Bev, word on the street is they may have traced the bullet from that kitten's face back to the culprits and were doing a blogosphere-wide sweep to locate the guilty parties. Obviously, they don't want them finding out, so they try and shut down all communications in the meantime. I'll let you know if I find out more, but right now I need to set up a few booby-traps on the front door.

Ed said...

I'm glad you're back. Who knew Commentarama could become an addiciton! :D

AndrewPrice said...

T-Rav, Never tell them where you put the booby traps! ;-)

AndrewPrice said...

Ed, We're glad to be back too, though our Thursday articles and the comments never did come back. Grr.
