It’s Because You’re Stupid

The MSM has finally found a narrative they can all get behind: criticism of Obama by conservatives is racist. Forget that they’ve leveled plenty of their own criticism, because hypocrisy doesn’t matter to them. Any conservative who criticizes Obama is a racist.

The line that criticism of Obama is racist goes way back. Jimmy Carter whined in 2009 that the entire birther movement was racist. Then he claimed Republican Joe Wilson shouting “you lie!” during Obama’s campaign speech to Congress showed that there is “an inherent feeling in American that a black man should not be President.” In September 2011, MSNBC claimed that all criticism of Obama was because of “the color of his skin.”

Calling Obama “cool” was declared racist the other day. Before that the words “cocky”, “flippant” and “arrogant” were declared racist “code words.” Last month, Team Obama themselves said that trying to link Obama to Jeremiah Wright was racist and hate-filled.

Now we have Neil Munro, a reporter for the Daily Caller, interrupting Obama during his latest campaign speech from the White House where he tried to buy Hispanic votes by proposing amnesty for young illegal aliens. The MSM was immediately outraged, and quickly decided this was racist. Said MSNBC:

“I think it's a very important question because I think this is the first African-American president. We've never had a white president been told by the opposing party to shut up in the middle of a major address to the Congress. We've never had a president like this heckled so disrespectfully. We've never had this otherness afforded to any other president and I think the right wing has some explaining to do because to me it's patently obvious.”
Well, actually, that’s not true. Indeed, as the Daily Caller immediately pointed out, Sam Donaldson used to do this to Ronald Reagan all the time, and yet the MSM never accused him of even bad manners.

Naturally, the MSM went to Sam Donaldson and asked him if this was true. Guess what he said? He lied about doing this to Reagan. Indeed, he said, he “never once interrupt[ed] a president in any way while he was making a formal statement, a speech, honoring awardees or in any other way holding the floor.” Of course, that’s a lie, but no MSM reporter can be bothered to go find the dozens of example disproving this.

Then Donaldson said exactly what you would expect from a leftist hack. He charged racism:
“Let’s face it: Many on the political right believe this president ought not to be there – they oppose him not for his polices and political view but for who he is, an African American!”
This is pathetic. Do I think Munro should have interrupted Obama? No. It pissed me off when Donaldson and the rest did it to Reagan and I don’t think anyone should be doing it to Obama either. But it pisses me off even more that the MSM is pushing this crap about this being the result of racism.

People criticize President "Downgrade" Obama because he’s incompetent. They criticize him because he’s an arrogant ass. They criticize Obama because he’s ruining the country and trying to destroy large parts of our economy. It doesn’t matter what color he is, the man is a menace to our nation.

Moreover, the real racists are on the left and within the MSM. It’s the leftist media which sees the world through the prism of race, not the rest of us. The rest of us have moved beyond race. We now judge men and women by the content of their characters and the competence and quality of their actions, and in that test people like Obama fail miserably. Race doesn't factor into it for us, that only matters to the race-obsessed MSM.

So in the spirit of providing proof, give us your Top Three Biggest gripes with Obama without mentioning his race?

He's the first post-American president. It has nothing to do with the color of his skin. It's all about the content of his character.

1. Obamacare
2. Supreme Court Justices Kagan and Sotomajor
3. "I Won"

Too many more to mention.......I'm sure you'll get many more here Andrew

1. The economy (does anyone believe that if the economy was in great shape Obama would credit Bush?)
2. Obamacare (I've had to point out to countless people that Hillarycare also had intense opposition, and that never made it past the proposal stage)
3. Security leaks (aka handing America's playbook to its enemies).

If someone wants to be universally loved, they should stay out of politics. Enter politics, one of the two sides is going to at best dislike you (not necessarily your own side if you are a McCain or Lieberman type who likes to cross the aisle).

First of all, Obama was elected by majority in 2008, America sounds pretty accepting if it was willing to elect someone despite his heritage. If anything, he's subject to the same system most presidents are: be elected, and be faced with a tougher re-election the following term than you are the first time around.

Second, it's just an American condition to have people disagree with you. You've got a whole spectrum of people from James Carville to Hannity, who's hateful? whose disappointed? or is it a blend of both? Again, a vast oversimplification of the general dissident.

Without mentioning race. It’s a near impossibility when talking about this president, and that’s too bad. He had an opportunity to heal this wound, instead he picked at it. He came into office with thoughts of settling scores, pitting one group against the other (community organizing), with his willing lapdogs in the press. With my three examples I try to illustrate.

1)Robert Gates episode, where Barry blurted out “he behaved stupidly…” when he referred to a Cambridge MA Police Officer, who was doing his job.
2)Barry and Eric Holder setting aside the case against the New Black Panthers, in the voter intimidation case in Philly.
3)Putting Van Jones in the White House as an environmental advisor?

As far as policy, the numbers are legion where this jerk (I’m using this against his white side) has attempted to fundamentally change America.

AndrewPrice said...

LL, LOL! The first "post-American" president! Brilliantly played sir!

AndrewPrice said...

Patriot, Nice start, and I agree, there are far too many more to list in one sitting. Feel free to add to the list if you feel the need. I get the feeling by the end of the day, we'll have a pretty impressive list.

AndrewPrice said...

Anthony, That's a great list. The economy wasn't in great shape when he took over, but he's done just about everything to turn a recession into a depression. And Obamacare is an atrocity. I agree about the security leaks. These people are sick.

Politics definitely is not a business for people who want to be like by everyone. That simply will never happen. Unfortunately, it tends to attract people who do want that.

AndrewPrice said...

obiwan, I don't think they fully believe the racism claim.

I think they believe that Americans are by and large racist, and they believe that some portion of the criticism is because of that supposed racism. But I think most of them use the charge of racism as just a political tool. They know it has worked in the past to shut down conservatives and it sends the moderates into a tizzy to run away from the conservative being charged. So I think it's mainly a smokescreen.

As for why they would believe there's still racism, well, for one thing that is what they've been taught. And when you believe in the bogeyman, you're going to find evidence of him somewhere.

For another, they probably hear a lot of racist talk among their democratic and MSM friends and they hear each other obsess about racism, so it probably does seem real to them.

BevfromNYC said...

Grrrr. Don't get me started.
1. His arrogant incompetence
2. When he referred to fellow citizens who do not agree with his policies "the enemy".
3. His constant blame game. It is never his or any Dems fault for any of the years of overspending, bad policies or procedures. And "the others" are just getting his way of making his Utopia. The only way to believe that is to buy that the Dems have been on vacation or been blindfolded and gagged for the last 70 years...

Oh, and LL - First Post-American President...I am stealing that! Just thought I'd warn you.

AndrewPrice said...

Stan, I wonder if history won't consider that his biggest failure/evil, that he had a chance to heal the racial divide in this country and he instead chose to inflame it?

White Americans turned out by the millions to vote for him, proving that they were more than ready to move beyond the issue of race. He had a real chance there to move toward a colorblind society.

Yet, as you note, he did things to stir the racial pot. The Gates thing, the Martin thing, the constant suggestions of racism, Van Jones and he "get even with whitey" environmentalism, the black panther case, his justice department claiming that the civil rights laws don't apply to protect whites, his attempts to pander to Hispanics, etc. So much of what he's done has been about stirring up blacks to support him. It's truly shameful.

T-Rav said...

My three biggest gripes against Obama? Hmmm:

1. He's black
2. He's from Kenya
3. He doesn't look like other presidents.

Oh wait, you said gripes that don't involve race? Ohhh. Let me get back to you. ;-)

AndrewPrice said...

Bev, Sorry to upset you this early on a Monday morning!

His arrogant incompetence is a great way to put it. Not only does he not have a clue what's he doing, but he's super arrogant about it.

Yeah, calling us "the enemy" was pretty obnoxious. But don't forget, that's how he sees us. He's made that clear time and again, like how he ignored disasters which happened in states that didn't vote for him.

And yeah, the blame game is truly annoying. Leaders need to learn that some degree of responsibility comes with the job, and not just for the things which go right. But then, he's no leader.

AndrewPrice said...

T-Rav, LOL! Bravo!

Kit said...

"He's the first post-American president."

I would offer a Correction: "He's the first post-American president in mindset."

I don't quite believe he is "post-America" as that would assume America is finished.

Okay, okay, real gripes.

1. ObamaCare
2. His belief that as long as he's doing the right thing, the law doesn't matter (e.g. amnesty)
3. His unbridled arrogance.

Of course, none of this would be so bad if he actually knew what he was doing, but, of course, he doesn't.

AndrewPrice said...

T-Rav, Clearly, you mean:

1. ObamaCare, because he's black.
2. His willingness to ignore the law, because he's black.
3. His unbridled black arrogance.

I get you. ;)

rlaWTX said...

1. "It's not my fault"
2. Eric Holder
3. ObamaCare
4. economy
5. his energy "policy"
6. his overseas apology tour

I can get twice that before mentioning that, instead of picking at scabs, I think he actually got out the knife and made new, messier wounds.

AndrewPrice said...

rlaWTX, A very solid list indeed. Yeah, his apology tour really annoyed me. Grrr.

I agree with you about the knife. He hasn't just picked at wounds, he's open tried to stir up the black community with claims that whites are trying to stop him because he's black.

DUQ said...

Ahh! Way too much to mention! Obamacare, the stimulus, massive debt, kowtowing to foreign thugs, calling us the enemy, blatant racism, the vacations, the vacations, the vacations. Ahhh!

AndrewPrice said...

DUQ, I know the feeling. There is way too much to mention with this jerk.

And I'll tell you another thing, if he wasn't black, the criticism would be a LOT worse.

T-Rav said...

You know me too well, Andrew. You know me too well. ;-)

T-Rav said...

Oh yes, that reminds me. Number four would definitely be his early habit of bowing to all those world leaders--especially the Saudi king--and then giving our closest ally an iPod filled with his @#$%ing campaign speeches or whatever the heck it was.

BevfromNYC said...

Andrew - you are so right...er...correct. If Obama wasn't black, the criticism would be a lot worse. Of course, call me a racist, but if he were white, he wouldn't have been elected in the first place.

AndrewPrice said...

T-Rav, LOL! I have to wonder how many members of the MSM would take that seriously? Probably more than we would care to count.

Yeah, the whole bowing thing bugs me a LOT! So do the iPod and the returning of the bust of Churchill. Grrr. And let's not forget Honduras and his dumping terrorists in Bermuda without consulting the Brits, and the rank stupidity he's displayed at every opportunity.

AndrewPrice said...

Bev, I truly believe you. I see it all the time where people feel forced to be careful about how they criticize him because they don't want to be accused of racism. If he was a white guy, they would be blasting away (verbally) with all their gripes and grievances.

And yeah, he probably wouldn't have been elected in the first place. I certainly don't think he would have beaten Hillary.

Anonymous said...

Andrew: Outside of the race-baiters and the willing "victims," I really wonder how many people actually believe the racist claim. I'm guessing that Obama's poll numbers are 10%-15% higher than reality simply because of the number of people who know they aren't racist but are unwilling publicly to oppose a black president for politically-correct reasons. What they do in the privacy of the voting booth may be quite different from what they say to pollsters.

Being old can be a drag at times, but I have the advantage of having lived the civil rights movement rather than reading about it, so I have absolutely no hesitation in condemning a crooked, useless, America-hating, vicious and dangerous president who incidentally happens to be black.

Have I ever mentioned that I hate Barack Obama? LOL

AndrewPrice said...

Lawhawk, Those are excellent questions. I don't know how many people really believe the racism claim, but I know that conservatives are sick of it and are openly fighting it... finally.

I would suspect his poll numbers are inflated for the very reason you say and that he can expect to do significantly worse when voting comes than he will do in the polls.

And yes, your credentials are absolutely impeccable on this point -- but liberals won't care. They don't care about facts and reality, only what they want to believe.

As for hating Obama, I do believe you've mentioned it. LOL!

K said...

"freedom is slavery" version 2.0 for liberal fascists: "freedom is racism".

The progressive agenda can not proceed in a free society - you need a reason to implement control. I was of the opinion that the left threw the "racist" taunt only as a tactical distraction at conservatives but I've come to the conclusion that they believe it's an inherent part of the conservative platform of liberty and therefore can never be addressed by conservatives.

This explains the constant attacks of "racism" on the Tea Party. It explains why movies like "Crash" with a message that everyone is racist wins the academy award. It explains why the country elected a black President yet more than half the country is still considered racist.

It means all you have to do is find one racist conservative and your case is made. It means that you can have far more individual racism in the progressive movement and have it remain an irrelevancy - if their platform seizes control of the machinery of the state and gives perks to minorities including the ability to punish "hate speech", then it is inherently not racist - because the "racists" have been rendered powerless.

Maybe it's time this leftist assumption be explicitly pointed out?

Jen said...

Everybody has taken the good stuff, and I don't have time right now to come up with any others.

You could paint him pink with purple polka-dots, and I still despise the guy (I don't think he is even human, so "guy" doesn't quite cut it).

Is it okay to use the word "hate"? LOL! Okay, H8. I feel better, if only for the moment.

AndrewPrice said...

K, I think that's right. I do think the grassroots really believe the racism charge because that's what they've been programmed to believe -- by the politicians, by the media and by Hollywood. And they see it among their friends, and they want to see it everywhere else, so they assume it's true.

But among the smarter ones, the leaders, I think they know it's all BS. They know this is nothing more than a smear they can use which will be very effective with their brainwashed troops and which has (until recently) also set conservatives fleeing.

Moreover, they've invented all kinds of uses for this charge (like justifying affirmative action or changing sentencing guidelines or controlling state voting powers), and they've invented all kinds of theories to explain why racism is still a problem even where no evidence of it can be found, and they've invented all kinds of theories explaining why their own racism does matter. In fact, in law school, one of the things I heard the most from black students and professors (who were very well schooled in race hate, but little else) was that blacks can't be racist because they are by definition the minority and minorities can't be racist -- even where they are the majority in cities like Atlanta.

It's a despicable way to live, but it's the only way the left can get it's ideas put into law because no one will buy them otherwise.

AndrewPrice said...

Jen, There is a rumor he's inflatable. Who knows? ;)

I, for one, am willing to consider that all the attacks against the president really are racist, but that conservatives just don’t understand what all race really entails. If I’ve been following what the MSM is trying to tell us, then I think I can conclude that…

…arrogance is a black thing.
…entitlements are a black thing.
…a bad economy is a black thing.
…a bad credit rating is a black thing.
…cronyism is a black thing.
…slipping secrets is a black thing.
…putting down America is a black thing.
…shifting blame is a black thing.
…flaunting the law is a black thing.
…dissing your friends is a black thing.
…laying down for your enemies is a black thing.
…lying is a black thing.

I think the MSM has painted a very clear picture of what they consider “black” to be. Pity more people can’t see it.

T-Rav, That's true, he loves throwing our allies under the bus.

And yes, while he did do nothing to help either side in Egypt or to guide them to a better way than the way they are headed, he made up for it by bombing and abandoning Libya and now ignoring Syria. And he certainly solved that Iranian problem.

" Last month, Team Obama themselves said that trying to link Obama to Jeremiah Wright was racist and hate-filled."

Jeremiah Wright is racist and hate-filled.....

hmmm.... there is an irony there somewhere...

AndrewPrice said...

Indi, There is tremendous irony there. It's amazing how it's racist to point out an undeniable fact that Obama has been close to a man who preaches race hate.

tryanmax said...

K, You've hit on a brilliant point that liberals believe racism is a part of liberty. In fact, they are right, but it reveals how unrealistic they are. They want to achieve a world without any bigotry whatsoever, or at least where bigotry can be put in chains.

This is because they cannot separate motive from action. They believe that racism necessarily must lead to oppression, like cause and effect. The concept of not acting on feelings is foreign to them. The ones who want to control others are the ones with the least self-control.

Individualist said...

Ok Here goes top three:

1) He has done more to promote the third way policies of Benito Musolini than any President in US History. Having the government take huge portions of stock of companies in the auto and financial industires. He has had gvoernment literally fund failed startups in Solyndra ignoring a loss that is equal to the Enron Fraud.

2) He has employed dictatorial fiat to terrorize the owners of companies that worked against him. this includes reinterpreting the laws of the country of india to find malfeaseance in trade laws at Gibson guitar that the country of India accepts as legal to selectively closing the GM auto dealerships owned by GOP donors.

3) He has created financial regulation to control the personal lives of individuals whether it is banning catholic charities from operating, forcing prodcuts to be altered such as light bulbs or rewriting health insurance polices with Obamacare.

All of these things are actions that limt personal freedom and work to turn the middle class into mordern day serfs. They are also exactly the same things Musolini, Franco and and Hitler did wneh they can to power.

So I guess this means that fighting WW2 and defeating Hitler was a racist thing to do if I employ the logical depth of a MSM reporter to the facts given above.

AndrewPrice said...

tryanmax, I think the main thing to remember is that liberals want "freedom" but they want to make sure that the freedom is only used in ways they approve. In other words, they don't truly want freedom, they want utopia -- a world where everyone acts the right way and thus can have the freedom to act.

AndrewPrice said...

Indi, That is an excellent observation. Obama is acting like a fascist dictator when it comes to the economy, right down to picking his friends as winners and then harassing their competitors. He has crammed the government more deeply into the economy than it's been since Reagan began deregulation. And even compared to the period prior to deregulation, his actions have been much more "directed." In other words, rather than just establishing boards who would issue regulations overseeing these companies, he's literally sent people in informally (czars) to micromanage them and extract the things he wanted.

That's fascism.

You know.....I don't really think this President has the chops to be as damaging as he has been. I believe the influence of the people he has chosen (or have been chosen for him) to surround himself with (Valerie Jarrett, Samantha Powers, David Axelrod, Plouffe, etc...) are the powers behind the throne ad "advise" him on what to do and what to say.

For example, the return of the Churchill bust and the tape/cd of his "greatest speeches" were a deliberate slap in the face to the British. Done intentionally so that these "advisers" can show how tough they are, and how they stood up to the hated British colonialists. They then pat themselves on the back as to how they humiliated the Brits at long last in the name of all the forgotten little people throughout history who have suffered under British "rule." F'ing children is what they are.

So, each example of obsequiousness, bravado, assholeishness on the part of the Prez is deliberate and meant to tweak some country, group or another. Now that they are in "power" they will finally run things the way they have always wanted to, damn the consequences. Well, the damn consequences have arrived, and the world is paying the price. Like giving a loaded gun to a 6 year old, they have damaged not only America, but the rest of the world as well.

But, since they all collected what is rightfully theirs and squirelled it away in their off-shore accounts (stimulus billions unaccounted for?!) they have completed their mission, looted the treasury, and are content to go home and live in luxury the rest of their days.

"O and his Team have left the building" See ya suckers!!

Andrew, and throwing our Middle East allies under the bus. But hey, at least he helped bring those Egyptians from tyranny to enlightened democracy.

------
Generally speaking, our Middle Eastern 'allies' smothered all civil society except for religion, then encouraged people to hate the US and Israel (rather than consider what mistakes they had made in their lives, the defects of their culture, or take a hard look at the dictators whose boots were on their necks).

Polls consistently show that in the context of Muslim countries, there is less hatred for the US among the ordinary citizens of our allies than those of our enemies (on a related note, more of the nuts attacking us hail from our allies than our enemies).

In short, I while the Arab Spring hasn't turned the Arab World into the West overnight, it should result in better relations over time.

Patriot, I agree with that. I've felt all along that he's just an empty suit, a puppet, and nothing he's done since being elected has changed that opinion. He strikes me as a guy who expects everyone around him to tell him what to do, to do it, and then to let him take the credit for it -- a willing figurehead.

Indeed, the Obamacare stuff was really instructive on that point because he did nothing except make vague noises about wanting "healthcare fixed" and then got angry with his people when they asked him for leadership and to guide them in what direction he wanted them to go. Those are not the actions of a man who is trying to implement his ideas.

AndrewPrice said...

Anthony, Not to speak for T-Rav, but I think he was mainly thinking of Israel.

In terms of our other allies over there, I agree with you. They are rotten and very, very bad for us. I think it was a mistake remaining friends with these regimes and I think we needed to push them to change a long time ago and need to do so now.

On the Arab Spring, I'm more optimistic than most people for a number of reasons. First, I don't fear the Muslim Brotherhood because everything I've seen about them suggests they aren't murderous-Islamic.

Secondly, I think in the long term, it's good that these Islamic movements will now become responsible for the day to day handling of their countries because that will weaken their ability to be jihadists. Responsibility has always been the secret weapon to undoing these groups.

Third, I think this was a necessary step toward removing the "it's the West's fault" excuse from the Middle East. The few corrupt dictators we are seen backing the better.

That said, I do think Obama should have taken a much more aggressive pro-freedom role in Egypt, which would have resonated and done a lot to turn around the opinion of the US on the Arab street. I think his big sin there was sitting on sideline to see which way things would go.

AndrewPrice said...

Bev, LOL! So now the polls are racist? Good grief. I'm starting to think liberals don't understand the meaning of "racist" and have mistaken it for the word "truth."

Here's your link: Idiots At Huffpo

DUQ said...

Andrew, Didn't you do an article at one point listing a whole bunch of reasons to vote against Obama?

AndrewPrice said...

Bev, I just finished the article and it's a very old liberal canard. I've heard this since at least the 1980s -- polls under-represent liberals. Bull.

The reasons they've given in the past have included:

(1) minorities don't trust pollsters,
(2) poor people don't have phones,
(3) pollsters are racist and look for white, urban respondents,
(4) the switch to cell phones excludes liberals,
etc.

The idea is simple. There is a vast group of liberals out there who can't be found by pollsters (or on election day) and if only we would find them, then the whole country would shift dramatically to the left.

This is a pipe dream. It's what fringers always think -- the public secretly agrees with me, but everybody is afraid to say it.

The reason Gallup's Obama numbers are lower than "others" is that the others they are comparing it to are liberal groups like PPP. Gallup's numbers are not lower than people like Rasmussen and in fact, Gallup has been about 5% too liberal in every recent election I can think of.

This article is just an attempt to come up with a reason why they expect to lose.

T-Rav said...

Well, I was actually thinking more of Egypt, but no, Obama hasn't been much help to Israel either.

I'm not even going to pretend to be an expert on the "Arab Spring" or anything else regarding the Middle East, but I will say this: When a people has a favorable rating of Israel that ranks in the single digits, and openly attacks and rapes women in the street for "looking Jewish" or not being covered enough, I'm not optimistic about their capacity to have popular democracy and remain allied with us. Sometimes a merely authoritarian regime is preferable to a totalitarian "democracy."

AndrewPrice said...

DUQ, Yes, I did. I'll look that up in a bit and link it. Gotta run for half an hour.

AndrewPrice said...

T-Rav, I think the real solution is rule of law, because choosing a totalitarian is just swapping one group of rapist for another. And rule of law usually requires a democracy.

But your point is well taken that they have long way to go.

ellenB said...

Did anybody see what John Stewart said about racism? It really points exactly to what we're talking about here.

He said the problem with racism isN'T and then he listed a bunch of liberals who made racist statements. Then he said the problem with racism is Matt Drudge. So racism isn't a problem when liberals do it, it's only a problem when conservatives do it.

AndrewPrice said...

Ellen, It was Bill Maher. And did you see his "evidence"?

He said his staff looked at all the images Drudge had at the top of his page for a month and then he showed FOUR images. He showed Louis Farrakhan and Marion Barry, which Maher claimed could only have been shown out of racism because neither man is "relevant." Then he showed Rev. Wright and mumbled something about how there was no reason to show that. Finally, he showed Eric Holder. So clearly, Drudge went out of his way to find four irrelevant blacks to put on his front page just so because he's racist. That's bullsh*t.

First, leftists are big on proportionality. As 10% of the population, they should have had 10% of the images, shouldn't they? Since Drudge does about 90 images a month, that means blacks are under-represented by half.

Moreover, his assertion that these guys are irrelevant is self-serving BS. If we're going to start picking and choosing which facts matter, then I could just as easily say that his mentioning them is evidence of his own race hate.

This was a smear, pure and simple and Maher was shameless for trying to point to this as evidence.

tryanmax said...

I saw the cliop on Big Hollywood. Maher also left out the Headlines to the stories.

Sharpton was in one of the pictures as well but he was pointing and we all know that if you want to show an unflattering photo of someone make sure they are pointing.

But I will state this... I wish Farakhan, Sharpton, Marion Barry and Rev Wright were "irrelevant".... if only that were true maybe race relations in the country would be better off....

T-Rav said...

Ellen, it's not racist when liberals do it, because their heart's in the right place. Really.

AndrewPrice said...

Indi, That's a good point too. It's funny how easily Maher skips over the fact these men were in the news for bad things and tries to act like Drudge just decided to put up their pictures to poke fun at them.

And yeah, the country would be much better off if these idiots were irrelevant.

AndrewPrice said...

T-Rav, That's exactly the point he's making: "we know these people aren't racist even though they say racist things because they're liberals." Then he adds, "but the conservative who had done nothing racist because I think the fact he would use an image of a black man in a news article means he must be racist."

This really highlights all of liberal thinking on racism.

By the way, speaking of Egypt from earlier, if anyone missed it over the weekend, the military has forced through a constitutional change in which the president is stripped of much of his power, at least with regard to the armed forces. He can only declare war with their approval, for example, and so on. And then Egyptians turned right around and elected a member of the Muslim Brotherhood as president yesterday. So much for that Arab Spring, huh?

T-Rav, Everything I've read says that the Muslim Brotherhood is not as bad as people are making them out to be. They've been the respectable opposition in Jordan and they've apparently given up terrorism some time ago. But we'll see what happens now.

Andrew, inflatable? I thought Dumbo could fly, does that qualify?

P.S. Check the "whoops" reply. I just got to it.

Jen, Dumbo has to fly somehow, so unless Biden's got a bag of fairy dust, I think it suggests our president is inflatable! ;)

I don't read Drudge, but in his defense, Barry has been in the local news in the past month because he's gone around insulting different ethnic groups.

Anthony, Each of the guy Drudge posted images of was all over the MSM when he did it. Drudge basically just links to other articles. He's not an editorialist.
