F... You, El Presidenté!

Presidents of the United States are generally considered to represent all of the people of the United States. I’ve never doubted the loyalty of any of them in this regard. . . until now. Obama has repeatedly shown that he only represents his friends, as if he were some Banana Republic dictator. Not only does he view the Treasury as a prize to be plundered by his allies, not only have he and his wife become to vacations what Imelda Marcos became to shoes, but now he’s shown a vindictive streak that stretches beyond disloyalty.

For some time now, Obama has shown a willingness to snub parts of the American community that don’t support him. I don’t mean that he’s not willing to implement their preferred policies, no, that’s all part of politics. What I mean is well beyond politics. He is actively delighting in attacking people who do not support him and ignoring them even when his duties call upon him to get off his skinny *ss and help them. Texas has been the subject of his latest attacks, though it’s hardly alone.

Just as Obama ignored the BP oil spill, which occurred in Republican-voting states, and ignored tornados that tore through Republican controlled southern states, and ignored a drug cartel invasion in Arizona, a definite red state, Obama is now ignoring the wildfires burning through Texas. In fact, he’s in Texas for a fundraiser and his spokesmonkey Carney made a point of mentioning that Obama did not even look out the window of the plane at the damage done by the wildfires.

But that’s not all. Texas has actually requested federal aid from Obama. Historically, such requests are granted pro forma. Indeed, I can’t think of an instance when such a request has ever been turned out. Yet, Obama turned down Texas’ request. That’s right. A prairie dog catches a cold in a liberal state and Obama sends in the federal troops with their pockets stuffed with cash, but somehow fires have destroyed more than two million acres of Texas land and cost the state at least $24 million in agricultural damage alone and that doesn't qualify for federal assistance?

What’s worse, last month, Obama sent aid to Mexico to help them fight wildfires. How in the world can one explain the President of the United States (1) demonstrating a pattern of ignoring natural disasters that occur to states that didn’t vote for him, and (2) rejecting a more-than-valid aid request from a United States state, yet offering aid to Mexico for a lesser crisis? The only answer I can come up with is that this El Presidenté believes in political payback to such a degree that he must lack any sense of loyalty to the American people.

Oh, and while we’re talking about this sick bastard, he is now using “his efforts” at getting Osama bin Laden as a campaign gimmick. Yep, it’s become an applause line. Of course, he doesn’t seem to realize that none of us actually give him ANY credit on this one. He spent 16 hours to make the only decision he possibly could. And his miserable 0-3 point temporary bounce (just like all his others) reflects this. Trying to taking credit for the awesome work of the US military is not going to suddenly turn this disloyal skunk in a man, a soldier or a president. . . no matter how much the left wants to believe he’s a big soldier now. In fact, in keeping with his banana republic precedents, maybe he should just go all out and decorate himself with a huge, gaudy award for bravery in the face of a teleconference. He can wear it next to his Nobel. . . and his merit badge for crapulence.

well said, Andrew. This tendency of his has shown up too many times for us to take anything else away from. It is so blatant at first we think, "nah, it has to be coincidence." No more. Oh, and don't forget the Nashville flood from a year or so ago. Same thing.

Once again, "birth certificate" aside, Obama is no American.

P.S. I hate him.

And his speech on immigration reform yesterday was the topper. His "funny" lines (e.g. "Maybe they'll build a moat!") are hardly funny to the many people in Arizona, particularly ranchers on the border, who've lost loved ones. Very funny, Mr. President.

President Obama is a joke. A sick joke.

Hey Writer X - I hear that there is a faction in Tucson/Pima County that has started a petition to get a referendum on the next ballot to become a separate state because the other parts of Arizona are just too conservative.

And to everyone - If Obama ever wanted to solidify any votes in Texas, he would pay a little better attention - Texas will have more electoral votes in 2012 because of the census results.

Tam said...

Bev...I'm in Pima County, and those secessionist crazies are concentrated right around the U of A. Tucson proper is pretty liberal, but the NW parts of Pima County are much more conservative. I wouldn't put any bets on Arizona II.

Jed, I agree. At first, it just seemed like a coincidence or just poor leadership -- like he just wasn't good at his job in general. But by now, we've got a serious track record of him picking on states that didn't vote for him. And it really has reached the point that I have to question whether he is living up to the oath of loyalty that comes with his job? I think he's not.

Thanks for inside scoop, Tam. The article indicated that it would be a long shot. However oObama may just P.O. Texans enough that they might invoked the state's right to split into 5 states which (as every child who has gone through the Texas public school system knows) it can by its state charter then everyone will be in trouble - 10 Senators from Texas states are a much more powerful voting block than 2!

AndrewPrice said...

Tam, I agree. No matter where he was born, he clearly has never learned the fundamental parts about being an American. My mother, who didn't come to the US until her 20s gets it. All of her friends from Germany get it. The guy who installed my cable and had literally just gotten off a boat from Grenada the week before gets it.... yet, for Obama, it's all a foreign concept and he has no interest in it.

He's no American.

AndrewPrice said...

Writer X, I heard that. How nice is that for a US President to make a joke out of a situation that upsets 70% of the country and has resulted in the deaths of hundreds -- both Americans and Mexican. What's next? A Holocaust joke?

Not only is he an anti-American a*shole, but he's not even well mannered. And the fact that he thinks it's funny to laugh at tragedies tells us he's got a truly sick mind. I wonder how he would feel if John Boehner started making fun of how Obama's father died?

The sooner this guy is gone back to the dark pit from whence he came, the better.

Bev, I read something about that, but I don't take it very seriously. Half the states are looking to break in half. Heck, I could get people to sign a petition to nuke Denver around here. . . but I doubt the courts will let us implement it. :-(

On Texas, I honestly think he's decided he would rather punish Texas than pursue votes there. I'm hoping this blows up on him and reduces the number of Democrats in elected office all across the state. Even if it costs then 3-4 House seats, that would be a tremendous payback for his garbage.

Tam, Thanks for the update, I figured it would be surrounding a college town.

** rolls eyes **

We used to get similar garbage out of Boulder all the time where the main campus of the U of Colorado is located -- a rent controlled, highly-zoned city that is 100% rich, white and liberal (and intent on keeping it that way with their zoning), and which used to lecture the rest of us poor ignorants about things like paying more welfare money, banning guns, keeping farmers from getting water. . . evil farmers, and nuclear disarmament.

Sadly, then we got a lot of Californians and Denver started to become more like Boulder. Ug.

AndrewPrice said...

Bev, I'm in favor of Texas becoming 5 states! That would be awesome! Could you imagine how the new Senate would look with a 10 Texan voting block?

And while we're at it, maybe it's time to let California seek a new home? I hear Mexico is nice. ;-)

Great rant, Andrew. I love how Obama claimed the border fence was "just about finished" when we're having to pass a law to use prison labor to work on our portion of the fence in AZ.

Tam, thanks for the comment on Pima county. Sure, the city and county governments of Tucson and Pima County are hopelessly liberal (and among the more corrupt in AZ), but besides U of A students and staff this isn't necessarily the case for the rest of the county.

I'll admit that some of the laws that our AZ legislators are currently writing are a little reactionary, but a chunk of them do make sense, and one or two may actually be fiscally responsible. Yet our liberal AZ legislators' contribution to alleviating the state's fiscal crisis is to scream "racism!" while raiding the state coffers.

Imagine an entire state comprised of such legislators and a compliant liberal governor. It's actually pretty easy to do so: just picture the White House and Congress in 2009.

What is it about these socialists that makes them all so predictable in thought and speech? Oh, that's right, socialism is a disease that sets up statist governments, cults of personality, and the deprivation of citizens.

It's not enough to get rid of Obama, we have to weed this stuff out of the courts and legislatures as well.

Euripides said...

Tam: We folks up here in Maricopa County think the whacks that control Tucson leaving the union is a pretty darned good idea. They ought to leave Pima County out of their decision, though.

AndrewPrice said...

wahsatchmo, You're welcome! :-)

Yeah, a state like that would look either like DC in 2009 or like California at any point in recent history -- and it would be a disaster in the making. It would almost be worth it to give them some autonomy to see how they get along with their insane ideas. . . but you know we would end up having to bail them out. Grrr.

Yeah, Obama's comment on the wall being done and the border being safer than ever is total garbage. I actually read somewhere that Arizona was taking up private donations to try to get the wall finished?

I agree that some of the stuff coming out of Arizona is a little reactionary, but much of it is quite valid and has been driving the debate nationwide. Take the immigration thing. If the Feds hadn't fallen down on the job, there would be no reason for the states to step in to try to do the job for them!

AndrewPrice said...

Euripides, I agree entirely, this goes well beyond just Obama. This is a type of thought that needs to be removed entirely from every level and layer of government and every branch -- especially the courts.

We can't afford (economically or socially or nationally) anymore to let these people mess around with country -- they are causing too many problems... everything from near bankruptcy, to race hatred, to lack of social cohesion, to the destruction of citizenship, to increased crime and poverty, etc. This has to end.

See? I toldja. I hate Obama.

Meanwhile, I'll support the liberals seceding from Arizona if they'll support us Central Valleyites in seceding from California.

Obama makes Plunkett of Tammany Hall look like the ultimate in bipartisanship. He has the executive abilities of a Tasmanian devil and the modesty of a Caesar. Ptui!

the problem with splitting TX is that you wouldn't get 5 Texases. You'd get blue Austin, Houston, and the Valley - which would out number red West Tx and purple north Tx (DFW could go either way)

my aunt's comment (she's a bit on the nutty conspiracy side, so she probably wasn't trying to be funny, but I laughed): "why's he coming here, we have enough illegal aliens as it is."

I hadn't read up on BO's visit yet. I knew he'd denied fed assistance, but not that "refusing to look out the window" bit...
he's such a #$@%*&@.

rlaWTX said...

BUT on this liberal seceding thing - can we get rid of Austin that way? right now they are reaping the benefits of Repub admin of TX (low taxes, influx of jobs) by complaining about it... on their own they'd tax themselves out of business

AndrewPrice said...

Lawhawk, I think the "I hate Obama" position is becoming quite popular, I definitely share it. And I don't know how I couldn't share it, to have a President who clearly has decided that those who vote for him are worthy of the full protection (and then some) of the US government and those who don't aren't entitled to that? That's just obscene, and anyone who thinks like that should not be allowed anywhere near the office of president!

AndrewPrice said...

rlaWTX, Now that is funny! "we've got enough illegal aliens already!" LOL!

On Austin, I'm thinking we need some sort of "sovereign city" law that lets liberal cities break free from states, but not become their own states -- I wouldn't want them getting representation in Washington. They can basically become little independent kingdoms of incompetence... the only condition I would demand is that they can't leave the city without a passport so that they can't just run away once they've turned these cities into Detroit-Redux.

I'd vote for that! :-)

AndrewPrice said...

P.S. That's too bad that breaking Texas up wouldn't end up with 5 red states. It sounds like Texas is like Colorado only with a little more red than blue.

We have 3 cities that are blue (Denver, Pueblo and Boulder). The rest of the state is deep red. Unfortunately, the three cities are just enough to outnumber all the rest of us. It sounds like Texas is similar only the big cities aren't large enough to outnumber the rest of the state?

rlaWTX said...

yep, pretty much - north & west TX are pretty red. Autin is deepest blue - with lonely red polka dots in central TX. Houston is... purplish on the personal front and blue in elections. The Valley is brown. Although - this last election had a Hispanic Republican in a Valley state legis office!! DFW is purple.

AndrewPrice said...

rlaWTX, That explains why Texas is red and Colorado has become blue -- we don't have any purple, just red and blue.

I hope the Republicans are making headway with Hispanics because they will become an increasingly important voting block and there's no reason they shouldn't be Republicans. We just need to learn to go after them on issues they care about (small business, religion, family, education, taxes, etc.) rather than treating them like an ethnic group to be courted with ethnic appeals.

Bev, nothing would make me happier than if the nuts around the U. of Arizona would form their own state. Where do I donate money to THAT cause??

I don't have to imagine one, I live in one: Connecticut.

Libertarian Advocate, My experience in the Northeast actually tells me that the whole region is like that and it probably won't change until all the businesses finally flee south.

rlaWTX said...

when the businesses flee south, then the entitlement entitled will be all that's left - don't see them changing then... we have seen that just because there's noone left to fund the entitlements doesn't mean they don't still feel entitled.

rlaWTX said...

Andrew: I can see (anecdotally) 2 main "subgroups" - [1] the newly here, gimme, gimme, you owe me and the [2] work hard, assimilate, and make it. unfortunately, I am also starting to see the children of the second group mirroring the first group instead of carrying on the second's ethic.

AndrewPrice said...

rlaWTX, It's unfortunate, but the rhetoric the Democrats are using promotes that. They are out there telling these kids "you can't succeed because racism won't let you" and "you should just rely on the government to take care of you." Unfortunately, the two messages together can be very damaging in young people who haven't learned the value of hard work yet -- the schools certainly aren't sending that message, as they will pass everyone along no matter how little they do.

I really hope the Republicans try to reach the first group and get them to start fighting the Democrats' rhetoric or the Dems will have done a lot of damage (as usual) to another generation.
