Question: Olympic Events

Olympics? What Olympics? Oh. . . those Olympics! The ones with curling! What are your favorite Olympic events? And, just for fun, what would you add to the Olympics if you could? Naked ping pong? Mascot basketball? Biden motorcade dodging?

Harp seal-tossing and polar bear-tipping.

Ah, polar bear tipping. . . the sport of kings!

Polar bear tipping - The sport of dead kings, maybe!

I think this really should be an Olympic sporting event!

Bev: Now THAT'S a winner! I might actually watch the winter Olympics if that got included. Where do we vote?

Or maybe, curling with land mines. Call it "Mine Sweeping". It could be a Summer or Winter sport.

Bev, Great sporting ideas! I think you'd have a guaranteed ratings hit!

BTW, don't you thing Biden motorcade dodging is just a little too dangerous for the Olympics? It seems to be our newest weapon of mass destruction...

How about a naked mascot Biden ping-pong basketball while dodging motorcades event?

Seriously, I love watching the skiing and speed-skating, preferably without Biden anywhere in sight. And ice hockey.

Bev, It's a way to lower the unemployment rate. . . one pedestrian at a time!

Writer X, I have to admit that I liked hockey better before they let the professionals in. Now it seems like an indifferent NHL game.

I'd like to see geriatric skateboarding or roller derby.

Ooooh, geriatric roller derby! LOL!

I've always enjoyed the Olympics and watching the various forms of competition. I have a new perspective this year as my family recently forced me to take up snowboarding (Patti, I strongly recommend regaining your youth before giving it a try). We also took a "learn to curl" class a few weeks ago, so now we understand that event a little bit better. My 12 year-old daughter is a long track speed skater and is getting a kick out of watching athletes and coaches she has interacted with participate in these games.

Down Hill Skiing, insanity, I love it!

Di, "forced to take up snowboarding"!! LOL! Sorry to hear that. Just be glad you weren't forced to take up waterboarding. . . or is that "enhanced skiing" now?

Stan, Skiing is a good event, fun to watch.
