The Pope Is The Enemy Of Muslim Law And Order

Once again, that intolerant and officious guy in Rome has severely offended those billions of moderate Muslims who very reasonably think that killing people who give "offense" to Islam is their right and obligation. When will this monster learn to keep his nose out of the affairs of the religion of peace?

Most recently, the liberal Pakistani governor of a Pakistani province was murdered for agreeing with Pope Benedict that the blasphemy laws that order the death of those "insulting" Islam should be rescinded. Muslim groups throughout the Middle East and Asia have demonstrated violently against the Pope's words which came largely as the result of the sentencing to death of a Christian woman for blasphemy. Gov. Salman Taseeri was gunned down by one of his own guards for saying the Pope was right.

The most popular protest sign at the Muslim hate-fests was "Pope Benedict's statement is an attack on the hearts of Muslims." Hearts? The assassin, Mumtaz Oadri, was the subject of a pro-assassination rally in Karachi which drew about 40,000 practitioners of the religion of peace. Demonstrating their knowledge of world affairs, some of the demonstrators pointed out that as the head of the Catholic Church, the Pope ordered the burning of Jews, Lutherans, Calvinists and dissident Catholics. They seemed unaware that this occurred about six hundred years ago, but that's just a detail.

The Pope had spoken out about Islamic blasphemy laws both about the pending execution of the Christian woman and about murderous intolerance in general. He stated that the laws should be repealed because they were often used as a pretext for violence against any non-Muslim for any real or imagined slight. It also came in the wake of the killing of a female police officer and four of her relatives. The claim of the murderers is that she deserved death because her job was to protect threatened female Pakistanis whose male family members wished to kill them for disobedience in violation of sharia law.

Well, what can you expect from the leader of a Church whose members drink Lutheran blood and eat Muslim children at their high masses? Next this Satan-in-disguise will probably suggest that killing 3000 civilians by flying airliners into skyscrapers is not required for Islamic purity. Where will it all end?

LawHawk,

Good Rant. I am now more angry at Muslims in general than before. Where is Black Jack Pershing when we need him?

Note that it is an urban legend that Pershing didn't execute 49 of 50 Muslim Philipino terrorists with bullets soaked with pig's blood.

Oh come on now, Hawk. What Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg so clearly have pointed out, and you just as clearly seem to have missed is that it is only a few fanatics we are talking about here. I mean come on, what is a meer 40,000 showing up to cheer an assassin, or countless others cheering whenever the Great Satan gets poked in the eye.

It is clear that conservative talk radio is the real culprit in this instance and I intend to walk off your set in protest.

Joel, if Pershing had executed 49 Muslim terrorists with bullets soaked in pig's blood, that would have been AWESOME.

As for the present rejects, we could always take a tip from the recent book "Prayers for the Assassin," where a captured Muslim fundamentalist refused to spill the beans about the terrorist organization he was part of, saying he would soon be in paradise anyway. So his captors started carving a Star of David on his chest until he panicked and began talking. A little gory, sure, and probably unethical, but I bet it would get results.

It’s good to see that Pope Benedict has the courage to say what needs to be said, the rest of the “leaders” need to follow suit.

Note: I do not actually advocate doing that to the terrorists we capture. That would be wrong, tempting as it might sound when dealing with these freaks. It's simply worth noting that we shouldn't kowtow and extend every courtesy to people like this.

Do you suppose an eighth crusade might be the goal here.
After all the previous ones were encouraged and supported by the Pope in place at the time of each.
Possibly Deus vult!
Palestine no no no Cannan could be cleaned up as well as the rest of the traditional Christian lands.

Joel: I've never been convinced either way on whether that story was true, but in the immortal words of the Rev. Al Sharpton: "Well, maybe it wasn't true, but it could have been."

Tennessee: I know I'm overreacting. They tell us that only about 10% of the Middle East Muslim population is actually radical fundamentalist. Why would we worry about 100 million people determined to kill us all or accept servitude under the religion of peace?

T_Rav: I'm one of those who thinks there's a fine line between torture and enhanced interrogation. And I would err on the side of "only do it if it's absolutely necessary." But err I would. I'm just glad I'll never have to be the one to make that decision. Stars of David, huh? I like it. Equal parts justice and information-gathering. At least it's not beheading or dragging through the streets then hanging from a bridge.

Stan: I find it's odd that I am often defending or praising the Pope lately, given that I'm Lutheran. But then I once said I'd trust the Bishop of Rome over the Bishop of the Sierra-Pacific ELCA Synod any day of the week--including Sunday.

T-Rav: Well, I'll admit that Stars of David might be a bit much. How about the Stars and Stripes instead? LOL

Tehachapi Tom: I could never quite figure out why the Muslims were so mad about the Crusades anyway. They won, didn't they? We could declare a Crusade, and when they accuse us of being anti-Muslim, we could simply point out that a Crusade is just like a Jihad--a personal struggle for religious understanding.

The Pope, bless his heart, is misguided. All of this hate is because of the new Axis of Evil - Palin, Beck, and O'Reilly.

Bev: I'm waiting for the meet-and-greet between Obama and the Pope. First words out of Obama's mouth (as he pointedly doesn't bow): "Hi, Pope. I hear you're infallible too."

Game Master Rob Adams said...

I read on Fox News that Cheney is praising Obama's efforts at fighting terrorism in the middle east.

ACG: Well, at least as far as Obama not closing Gitmo and using drones on the Pakistani border regions. Is that called "damning with faint praise?"

T_Rav said...

LawHawk, I think the reasoning in that particular story was that no Jew could enter paradise, so if the Star of David marking was completed, he would be treated as such and all his efforts on earth would have been for naught. I don't know if the Stars and Stripes would have worked, but at least everyone would know who'd sent him to the afterlife!

T_Rav said...

Bev and LawHawk, as Conan O'Brien said of an earlier meeting between the two, "That's right--the man considered infallible and God's representative on earth by millions of people is going to meet the Pope."

Do you suppose we could market little statues of the pope and bo mounted atop magnets? Kids could play with them be taught a lesson on how to get along.

Unknown said...

T_Rav: Are you kidding? The U.S. is the Great Satan, and I don't think they're going to let him back in paradise. LOL

Tehachapi Tom: I already have my Obama "countdown to defeat" clock, but I wouldn't mind having a Benedict bobble-head for the car.

poor pope, when will he learn not to go against murderous muslims seeking to purify their faith? never has a religious man been so misguided. well, if you omit the muslim dudes who think all the virgins are waiting on them in hell, um, heaven.

Patti: Ain't it a shame? Here was a big opportunity for the largest Christian denomination to surrender and the Pope blew it. He must be one of those dangerous Christian extremists the MSM is always telling us about.

BevfromNYC said...

Well, as Hillary said, it's good to know that they have extremists just like us.

Bev: I know. I have the warmest cockles in town at that thought.
